This case report describes the clinical course of a 65-year-old female patient with persistent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation of the abdominal region following a friction-induced second-degree burn associated with prolonged use of a compression garment. Despite complete wound healing and subsequent abdominoplasty, the pigmentary alteration persisted for approximately six months. The patient was treated using the NewMelan® Depigmentation Protocol, with a visible reduction in pigmentation intensity and improved skin tone uniformity observed approximately one month after treatment initiation. No treatment-related adverse effects or complications were reported during the documented follow-up period. As is appropriate for a case report, the authors emphasize that these findings represent a clinical observation and highlight the need for further studies incorporating objective measurements, comparator groups, standardized photography, and longer-term follow-up to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and reproducibility of the observed outcomes.

This case report describes the clinical course of a 64-year-old female patient with refractory centrofacial melasma treated using the NewMelan® Depigmentation Protocol.
